About Us

Hi, my name is Laurie Chase, and I am currently the president of the Glenwood Springs Arts Council. I am so excited to be able to support the arts in this community on a larger scale. I have lived in Glenwood Springs for 32 years and have been involved with the Glenwood Springs Center for the Arts for the past 15 years. 

From a young age, I've been interested in art and horses. I love the smell of horses and I like being able to get up into the high country with a little or no effort on my part. My first horse was my best friend, and so were the ones that followed. Art has been a really big help in my life. It's so easy to get involved and lost into the painting or drawing that you're doing. It's like visual music. I personally believe that promoting arts in any form is healthy for community.
