It was thrilling to learn about the diverse and innovative array of events brought to life by organizers like you. From weeklong school programs to performances with jazz icons to intimate gatherings and discussions, organizers on all continents presented engaging and imaginative jazz programming. I feel humbled to know that lovers of music and culture around the world have embraced jazz and its message of unity and tolerance.
THE GLENWOOD SPRINGS ARTS COUNCIL is hosting this event at the popular Vaudeville Theatre in Glenwood Springs.
Featured will be a video presentation of performances from previous years of the International Jazz Day.
This year's live performances include the High School All Star Jazz Band and headlining artist Rekha Oha.
Full Vaudeville menu and bar are available, and we will have a dance floor for those so inspired! We are joined in this event by Jazz Aspen.

Highly-acclaimed Colorado songstress Rekha Ohal is known for her sultry voice and piano stylings, as well as her distinctive and personal interpretations of popular music. Rekha and her band of heavy hitters — Dan Schwindt, Matt Houston and Dave Devine, bring their own unique style and arrangements of classic jazz songs like Frank Sinatra’s “Fly Me to the Moon,”and Billie Holliday’s “Summertime”, as well as hits from the pop and blues genres.
Rekha and her band is often joined by internationally renowned saxophonist, Jeff Nathanson, creating intimate and entertaining musical explorations across the entire musical spectrum.
