Brad Vierheller and his piano go way back. He began studying it in the third grade where his love of music literally found its voice and its vehicle. A musical standout during his years at Thomas Jefferson High School in Denver, Brad was selected for Colorado All-State Choir and sang with the acclaimed singing group “McGregor’s Beggars”. Taking his talent on the road began while at Adams State University in Alamosa, CO. Brad toured Russia with the Adams State Choir in 1973 under the direction of Randolph “Casey” Jones. Another tour followed in 1985 when the Colorado Choir traveled and performed throughout Europe and Yugoslavia. Brad graduated from Adams State University, Alamosa Colorado with a certificate in Secondary Vocal Music Education. Brad’s taste in music knows no bounds and that taste comes with legendary skill in interpretation and delivery. Love of musical theater was first and began with dinner theaters throughout the state where he also discovered his love for the restaurant business! Brad has performed at many venues throughout Colorado – the Country Dinner Playhouse (Englewood), The Iron Springs Chateau (Manitou Springs), Club Majik’s (Steamboat Springs and Vail) and The Glenwood Vaudeville Revue. Brad has been a driving force at Defiance Community Players and currently serves on their Board of Directors. He has been Musical Director for their productions of Oliver, Once Upon A Mattress, Urinetown, Beauty and the Beast and, most recently, Les Miserables. Brad teaches private piano, voice and choir throughout the state and is currently the Class Piano Teacher at the Glenwood Springs Center for the Arts and the Fine Arts Friday after-school enrichment program at Two Rivers Community School.
